Osteopathy & physiotherapy regulations & professional standards

The General Osteopathic Council regulates the osteopathic profession in the UK. By law, osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) in order to practise in this country.

To register, we have completed a five-year honours degree along with several hundred hours of hands-on clinical training. You can therefore be confident of the highest standards of professional competence. For further information, visit www.osteopathy.org.uk

Anyone wishing to practise as a physiotherapist in the United Kingdom (UK) is required by law to be registered with the UK regulator for the health professions, which is the Health Professions Council (HPC).
